It's located along Hawaii State Highway 50, a few miles before the intersection with Highway 550. The lookout will give you a view of the beautiful lush Hanapepe Valley, which served as a filming location for Jurassic Park. 3. Re: Pu'u O Kila Lookout. Pretty much just a few steps from the parking lot. You can do the trail if you want, but that lookout is right there. You could, if you want, continue on the Pihea trail it skirts the top of the back wall of Kalalau valley. The views are a little different as you keep going.
